Well
, We warned you, The Summer season is upon us.
It is time for those of you who have been procrastinating
about your vacation to get a move on. Florida weather is
still mild enough for those persons who haven't been in
the sun yet this year. Fuel prices are still fairly low,
about $2.25 to $2.55 a gal. for premium in central Florida.
Summer has a way of inching those prices upward , so hurry
up with your vacation plans! Start planning your next trip

Florida
beaches are not yet jammed with people, so this
might be a good time for young families to make their mark
in the sand. Sit and watch the beautiful sunsets with your
favorite beverage! Happy boaters are enjoying some unbelieveable
weather out in the Gulf of Mexico. Temperatures
can range from the 70's and are starting
to creep into the upper 80's during the late afternoon.
There is not much rain yet this season but some beautiful
afternoon clouds are appearing on and off. Vacationers have
not been disappointed these last couple of weeks as great
wheather has prevailed.
The
water temperatures are inviting for the tourists and there
is plenty of sunshine in the afternoons.
This
month our Florida fishing captains are expecting some of
the fish to start moving toward the shorelines especially
in north Pinellas county. Our latest fishing
report states that using the strong tides and white
bait should help you score some good inshore fishing, maybe
even a Tarpon.
As
May and June heat up the
Visitors bureaus are hopeful that travelers will
continue doing their part for the economy. Our vacationers
continue to show interest in travel this quarter.
Florida
Attractions are advertising their latest deals and
amusement park packages are underway at many online travel
sites. Although we are seeing signs that ticket prices
might start to inch up for the new year. The early vacationers
might benefit if they act quickly. Just a heads up.

A
New Day For America?? !!
Well,
only time will tell , from a travel perspective , lower
gas prices have to help in the near term. The tourist industry
might see some spark with the proposed economic stimulus
packages being put into place. The amusement
parks are not missing a beat so far this year.
New additions and new tourist enticements are still being
worked on and put forth for the rest of 2009.
Travelers
need to keep an eye out for the hotel chains to promote
their special travel packages
for spring break and early summer.
For those travelers who plan to sidestep the major attractions
and sightsee more to save money during their stay, a visit
to a Florida
park might be in order. Or maybe spend some time
at one of Florida's fabulous Shopping
Malls!
The sun is starting to shine brighter on Florida. Internet
traffic for travel is picking up and we are watching anxiously
to see how the persistant traveler helps put America back
on track.

Tampa Bay Rays, are back above 500. It promises to
be an exciting season as the Ray's start out as one of the
top teams to beat, thanks to their impressive showing last
year!
While
the big hitters are struggling now and then the other players
in the line up have stepped up, especially Upton, Bartlett,
Aybar, Burrell, and Zobrist! -Go Rays!!
So
far, their best work has been at home at Tropicana
field.
