School is in Session!! Travelers can walk the
beach with ease. The children are in school and parents
can roam free on the sandy shores.
Florida weather has been
a little different this year with lots of rain, some
afternoon storms , blue skies, and big white fluffy clouds.
Fuel
prices are still hovering around the $2.60 to $3.50 range
keeping people on the roads. Travelers seem to tolerate
this price range so far. At $4.00 a gallon, watch out, consumers
start to cut back in Florida.
Florida
residents have done well weathering the 90 degree heat with
special yearly passes at the amusement parks, etc.
Florida
beaches have gotten alot of attention in the media
in the past several weeks. Although there is much hype about
oil, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference as far
as appearance of the Florida shorelines. The clean up efforts
seem to be working
as far as the naked eye is concerned.
Temperatures
are in the 90's this month. The
warm temperatures are perfect for evening walks on the beach,
while waiting for the daily spectacular sunsets. These are
great conditions for some scenic photos for your scrapbook
or relatives back home!

The
water temperatures are rising up over 70 degrees with plenty
of sunshine in the afternoons.
In our July
fishing report snook catches are slowing down while
redfish are reported to be readily available for our visitors
to catch at this time.
Our
fishing Capt. Stewart Ames is reporting that with
the warmer water temperatures Redfish are feeding again.

Now
that it is warmer, Visitors
bureaus are watching closely to see if travelers
keep coming and doing their part for Florida
Hotels and Attractions.. Our vacationers continue
to show stamina and have pressed forward with travel plans.
Florida
Attractions continue to advertise their latest changes
in venues. The Theme parks have opened new attractions
and adjusted promotions for vacationers. New rides are open
and new shows are in full swing.
Hotel
and airfare package deals seem to be the niche for some
Florida hotels now. As usual, it does matter what month
and what days you stay in order to get the best prices.

Florida
Sights
Isn't
it time for you and your family to visit Florida? These
Busch Gardens animals seem to be posing for some friendly
visitors to take their picture..
The
amusement
parks are not missing a beat so far this year.
New additions and new tourist enticements have been put
forth for 2010.
Travelers
need to keep an eye out for the hotel chains to promote
their special travel packages
for the rest of the year.
For those travelers who plan to sidestep the major attractions
and sightsee more to save money during their stay, a visit
to a Florida
park might be in order. Or maybe spend some time
at one of Florida's fabulous Shopping
Malls!
Come and visit Florida and work on your well deserved tan.

Tampa Bay Rays are going gang busters in the new
season. Fans have seen the Rays come out swinging and scoring
big in their first half of the season. They have done well
on recent road trips winning big.
The
Rays are still near the top of there division with a lot
of time and games left to play. The bats need to stay hot
in order to keep with the competition.

**Note:
The Tampa Bay Bucs are definitely out with the old
and in with the new team for better or worse. Fans will
have to endure the growing pains again. Accordingly, plenty
of anticipation surrounds the team for the new season. With
only a couple of games under their belt it is too soon to
tell how the new changes will effect the team.
