Kennedy Space Center is a real life earth space terminal where the infamous space shuttles lift off from and are maintained. The center is located about an hour or so east of Orlando, Florida.

The Space center is definitely a family oriented tourist stop that you will spend several hours experiencing. There are different space station tours available.

Other activities include: the Mad Mission to Mars, the IMAX 3d five story theater featuring spaceflight movies, the Rocket garden, the Shuttle Launch Simulator, the Gift shop and of course, actual Shuttle launches on scheduled dates.Other activities include having lunch with a real astronaut plus many more great exhibits.

The space center is open from 0900 am to 0530 pm everyday except for Dec.25th and some launch days.
