Because the State of Florida is a peninsula , it is blessed with lots of coastline and many beautiful beaches. Below we have compiled a sampling of some popular ones. Most of these beaches are towards the central part of the state. The Gulf side beaches are more easy going, with smaller surf. Although, some days the surf is high enough for small boogy boards, etc.. While, on the ocean side , beaches have larger waves for the more serious surfers.
